You Are Invited. . . to celebrate the 60th year of the GWA Annual Symposium. The objectives of this year’s meeting are to: Provide information on trends and current issues of importance to garden communicators Address subject matter covered in our core competency schedule Provide opportunities for the development of new story ideas

The meeting venue for our 60th Annual Symposium is the Doubletree Hotel in Portland, OR. Our Symposium Program Chair for this year is GWA Vice President Janel Leatherman, who has reviewed more than 50 program proposals from members and selected the presentations that best address our objectives. We have an excellent list of speakers for this year’s program and invite all garden communicators to take advantage of everything this meeting and its host city have to offer.

The Local Arrangements Committee has been working for more than a year to develop the most intensive and informative schedule of activities to highlight the Portland, Oregon, area. Those of you interested in more story tours and private garden tours are invited to attend the optional tours on Tuesday, September 23. There is much to do and learn; so, sign up early and make sure you take advantage of everything this year’s meeting offers.
