Education Programs

The GWA Foundation anticipates the opportunity to provide educational programming for aspiring and experienced garden communications professionals as well as the general public.

Public Education
The purpose of public education events sponsored by the GWA Foundation is to expand the general knowledge of gardening, horticulture and the environment. The fulfillment of this objective may be in the form of issuing publications, conducting meetings, providing public lecturers or a variety of other activities that will either expand the public's knowledge of gardening or invite non-gardeners to investigate the personal enrichment and satisfaction to be gained from gardening at any level.

GWA Career Development
In addition to public education programs, the GWA Foundation seeks to provide career development training for garden communications professionals to better serve the expansion of public knowledge and participation in gardening. Such training may take the form of professional development workshops and seminars, publication of books and manuals, provision of educational scholarships and any other means available.
