7th Annual GWA Webinar REPORT March 24, 2011 Online Teleconference

The 7th Annual Garden Writers Webinar was held March 24, 2011, on the topic of “Getting to Know the New Natural and Organic Gardener."

Panelists Carla Flamer, Sr. Vice-President of IPSOS-Reid, and Clary Diaz, Marketing Manager, ScottsMiracle-Gro, shared the results of a recent consumer survey aimed at identifying:

• Who are the consumers most interested in natural and organic gardening products?
• What do they look like demographically?
• What are their "green" attitudes and behaviors outside of gardening?
• What are their concerns and motivations?  

This year's webinar offered a peek into the thought process and use practices of novice and experienced natural and organic gardeners. The event was hosted by the Garden Writers Association (GWA) and The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company.
